INTERVIEW PAUL MYERS GREAT BARRIER REEF LEGACY

We are opening a new chapter for the MOTHER LOVE podcast. With mental health and the health of our planet in focus the podcast wants to engage with health practitioners as well as environmentalists and representatives of environmental organisations to hear their concerns and the solutions they have to offer. The first to jump on board is Paul Myers, operation manager at the Great Barrier Reef Legacy. The interview reveals how fragile the reef system has become and how a handful of dedicated individuals can make a difference by preserving precious coral species fragments with the groundbreaking project called the LIVING CORAL BIOBANK.

Thoughts on Peace - Mothers Day Special

This episode is dedicated to mothers and fathers who feel that the world could do with a bit more effort in peace making. It's peace every sentient being is seeking. Somewhere along the way, the human being has lost the ability to make deep and lasting peace by disenfranchising from nature and hereby losing the equilibrium that nature provides. Egalitarian societies are often the guardians of peace, it seems especially those with a matriarchal system. Perhaps Mother Love, the love that is rooted in Mother Nature could be our mentor of peace and harmony? We wish, we dream and we hope.

King of Desire Queen of Happiness

Episode 24 introduces my book King of Desire Queen of Happiness, a position comparison between Buddhism and the Mother Love (ML) concept. Caleb, a fictitious Buddhist monk, is in dialogue with Antoinette, in their first session discussing the finer points of happiness. - The burning question is whether the human species is innately conditioned for suffering or for happiness. Is the Buddhist philosophy compatible with the ideals of Mother Love? The discussion continues over a course of 21 sessions and will be regularly broadcast by the ML podcast.

Great Expectations

Episode 23 is divided into two parts: Part 1, Achieving by the Rules of Society, questions reason and factual learning, the neglect of Intuitive Intelligence and how overwhelming parental expectations can get. Part 2, Silence your Parent Talk, deals with Interference Parenting, and how self-determination disintegrates quickly if children and teens are under constant instruction.

The Effortless Success

The Effortless Success is about the kind of success that is naturally assigned to us and any living being. It is the gift of life entwined with the success to not only coming into the world but fully catered for and looked after by the parents, or care givers. It's an expectation that needs to be fulfilled to preserve our feeling of comfort and security until we become independent. It's that sort of reliance that is priceless and endows a sentient being with trust and love.

The Great Escape from Guilt and Shame

Episode 21 explores how the obsession with science and technology alienates us from our Intuitive Super Intelligence. Children's formal education has displaced the faculty of intuitive learning, meaning, we have failed them. Unfortunately this failure is seen by the child as personal deficiency, a circumstance which builds the feelings of guilt and shame in the psyche of the child. We've lost the sensitivity to connect our inner being with the outer world. Advanced technology furthers the widening of the gap, especially for children.

Earth Love

In Episode 20 we'll have a closer look at the state of our cozy planet. Mother Love (ML) stands for the maternal quality of nurturing and protecting universal life. The female (Yin) and male (Yang) factors play a pivotal role in recovering and stabilising the balance that's undeniably very urgently needed for life on earth. How about playing our role by treating earth with respect and care for the female (ML) qualities of continued regeneration?  

When Opposition is the Only Way Out

In Episode 19 we look at the problem of non-compliant and tantrum prone children, and ask why is this happening? We discuss aspects of ADHD - attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - and how parental interference and the constant instruction mode contribute to defiance and opposition in children, and the possible development of ADHD typical symptoms. Mother Love offers a different take on these common behavioural problems that profoundly disrupt functioning family life.

The Social Creature

In Episode 18 we'll look at our innate social need and how this need often gets neglected with our busy and scheduled life style. The human being is a social animal. Somehow children are more or less not expected to be inherently social which puts a question mark on their social ability and compromises a person's social development. We talk about pets, especially dogs, as the perfect social animal and buffer in a rather cold social climate.
